No person shall operate or haul any vehicles upon the highways or elsewhere throughout the City of Buhler, in such a manner as to indicate a careless or heedless disregard for rights or safety of others, or in such a manner so as to endanger or be likely to endanger any person(s) or property.

The City directs crosswalks to be placed at the following locations:
(a) Across Main Street just South of its intersection with Sixth Avenue.
(b) Across Main Street just South of the intersection with 8th Avenue.
In order to protect the pedestrians using the above crosswalks, signs reading “Stop for Pedestrians in Crosswalk” shall be placed in the crosswalks during school hours.

It shall be unlawful to park a truck or trailer or semi-trailer with a registered gross weight of 28,000 pounds or over on any street or alley in a residential district except:
(a) When it is necessary for the loading or unloading of merchandise, furniture, or other goods. In this event a truck may be parked for so long as is reasonably necessary to complete the loading or unloading.
(b) In the event a truck or trailer or semi-trailer is incapacitated or unable to move, they may be parked for so long as reasonably necessary to remove the same, however, not to exceed 24 hours. Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this section, shall be punished by a fine of not less than $10.00 or more than $500.00. Each day any violation continues, shall constitute a separate offense.
(c) Where the owner of the truck lives adjacent to any truck route as designated by the governing body, the said owner shall be entitled to park his truck, but not trailer or semi-trailer, directly in front of his residence. In no event shall any truck parked under the authority of this subsection be parked with its engine running between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

(a) That the term through street or highway, as used in this section, shall include all the following streets and highways:
Main Street, Regier Street, First Street, South Street, Buhler Road and Dutch Avenue.
(b) The Police Chief shall cause stop signs to be erected at all intersecting street entrances to the above designated through streets or highways, and all vehicles entering or crossing said streets shall come to a full and complete stop, before crossing such streets or highways.
(c) The Police Chief shall cause stop signs to be erected on each of the four corners and the intersection of Wall Street and 7th Avenue and all vehicles entering or crossing this intersection shall come to a full and complete stop before entering or crossing said intersection.
(d) The Police Chief shall cause stop signs to be erected on 6th Avenue at the intersection of 6th Avenue and Wall Street and all vehicles entering or crossing Wall Street shall come to a full and complete stop before entering or crossing Wall Street at said point.
(e) Violations of this section shall be, upon conviction, punishable by a fine of not less than $10 nor more than $100.00.

(a) The parking of motor vehicles, except for school buses, in the following designated areas within the City of Buhler, Kansas on the days that the Public Schools are in session and between the hours of 7:30 A.M. to 8:30 A.M.; and 2:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. is prohibited:
(1) On the West side of Main Street, between 6th Street and West 7th Streets.
(2) On the North side of West 6th Street between Main and West Streets.
(3) On the East side of Main Street between 6th Street and extending North to a Point 636.2 feet South of the South Line of 82nd Avenue.
(b) The parking of motor vehicles, except for school buses, at the following designated area within the City of Buhler, Kansas on the days that the Public Schools are in session and between the hours of 3:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. is prohibited:
(1) On the South side of West 7th Avenue from Main Street to West Street.
(c) The parking of motor vehicles in the following designated areas within the City of Buhler, Kansas on the days that the Public Schools are in session between the hours of 7:30 A.M. to 8:30 A.M. is prohibited:
(1) On the South side of West 5th Avenue between West Street and Main Street.
(2) On the South side of West 6th Avenue between Dirks Street and Wall Street.
(3) On both sides of Curtis Street from Main Street to Wheatland Park entrance.
(4) On the West side of Wall Street from 5th Avenue to 6th Avenue.
(5) On the East side of Wall Street from 7th Avenue to 8th Avenue.
(6) On both sides of West Street from 7th Avenue to 8th Avenue.
(d) The parking of motor vehicles in the following designated areas within the City of Buhler, Kansas is prohibited:
(1) Within Wheatland Park on the roadway on the West side of the ball diamond between the South parking lot and the North parking lot within Wheatland Park.
(2) On the South side of West 7th Avenue from North Wall Street to Dirks Street.
(3) On the North side of East 7th Avenue from Main Street to Wheatland Park.
(4) On the North side of West 7th Avenue from Main Street to Wall Street.
(5) On the North side of East 5th Avenue from Main Street extending Easterly for a distance of 975 feet.
(e) The City Police Chief is hereby authorized and directed to post signage.
(f) Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $100.00. Each day that any such violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.

When authorized signs are erected giving no person shall park a vehicle at any time, or designated times, upon that portion of any of posted or signed for “No Parking”.

(a) Certain areas will be designated as parking for handicapped persons only, those areas being identified by signs reading “Reserved For” followed by the handicapped symbol. Handicapped persons being those persons who have license tags identifying their vehicle as being one owned by a handicapped person and said handicapped person being the driver or passenger of the vehicle at the time of the parking of the vehicle.
(b) Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined a sum not exceeding $100.00.

(a) Every person operating a bicycle upon a roadway or sidewalk shall ride as near to the right side of the roadway or sidewalk as practicable, exercising due care when passing a standing vehicle or one proceeding in the same direction on a roadway, or pedestrian or other object on a sidewalk.
(b) Persons riding bicycles upon a roadway shall not ride more than 2 abreast except on parts of roadways set aside for the exclusive use of bicycles.
(c) Wherever a usable path for bicycles has been provided adjacent to a roadway or sidewalk, bicycle riders shall use such path and shall not use the roadway or sidewalk.
(d) Bicycle riding shall be prohibited on sidewalks adjacent to the following streets:
Main Street from Third Street to First Street;
Second Street from the Alley East of Main to the Alley West of Main
Nothing herein shall be construed to prohibit an individual from walking his or her bicycle on sidewalks adjacent to the above streets.
