A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF BUHLER, KANSAS, FROM THE PROVISIONS OF THAT PORTION OF K.S.A. 15-204, PROVIDING THAT THE DUTIES AND PAY OF THE VARIOUS OFFICERS OF THE CITY SHALL BE REGULATED BY ORDINANCE AND PROVIDING SUBSTITUTE AND ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS ON THE SAME SUBJECT, RELATING TO THE DUTIES AND SALARIES OF CITY OFFICERS.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BOYD OF THE CITY OF BUHLER, KANSAS:

Section 1. The City of Buhler, Kansas, by the power vested in it by Article 12, Section 5, of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects to exempt itself from and make inapplicable to it the provisions of the following sentence contained within K.S.A. 15-204, which sentence reads: “The duties and pay of the various officers provided for in this section shall be regulated by ordinance.” and provide substitute and additional provisions as hereinafter set forth in this ordinance. That K.S.A. 15-204 is not uniformly applicable to all cities within the State of Kansas.

Section 2. The duties and pay of the various officers of the City as provided for in K.S.A. 15-204 shall be regulated by resolution.
